AI Assist

The Parse.ly Dashboard houses all your content analytics data, but going through multiple tabs and filtering options can eat up valuable time. AI Assist is a chatbot-powered module of the Dashboard that lets you ask plain-English questions and instantly get answers right in the chat interface. It also routes to the exact Dashboard tab needed with the insights you need to dig deeper.

No more jumping between tabs or manually hunting down data: AI Assist brings the answer directly to you.

Asking simple questions is just the tip of the iceberg. AI Assist is highly intelligent. You can use it as your personal data analyst by asking complex questions, such as why traffic spiked on a particular day or which articles you should write today based on last month’s performance.

Why use AI Assist?

• Find insights faster: Instead of clicking through multiple tabs or building complex filters, simply ask AI Assist a question like, “Which articles drove the most page views yesterday?” It provides the correct answer, plus takes you straight to the relevant tab in the Dashboard.
  
• Unlock advanced insights: Treat AI Assist as your personal data analyst — ask it complex questions like, “Why did traffic spike on June 25?” or “Which topics should I cover today based on last month’s top performers?” Get clear, data-driven explanations and recommendations instantly.
  
• Learn Dashboard jargon on the fly: If you’re unsure what a metric means — for example, “last touch” on the Conversions tab — just ask. AI Assist pulls definitions from Parse.ly’s documentation so you stay focused on your analysis, not on Googling terms.
  
• Empower non-technical users: Journalists, editors, marketing teammates, and others who aren’t Dashboard experts can get answers without a training session. AI Assist makes analytics accessible to everyone in your newsroom or team.

AI Assist access and permissions

By default, only admins can see and use AI Assist when the feature is activated on your site. To let others use it, assign user-level access to them.

Where to find AI Assist

Once it’s active, an “Ask AI” button will be present in the far right of the Dashboard’s navigation bar. Click this button to open a chat panel where you can start asking questions and interacting with your data.

Share feedback

AI Assist may occasionally provide inaccurate answers. Whenever AI Assist returns an answer, click the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icon to let the Parse.ly team know how it performed. Your feedback helps Parse.ly refine AI Assist and ensure it delivers accurate, useful insights.

Disable AI Assist

If you need to turn off AI Assist for any reason, contact Parse.ly Support at support@parsely.com, and it will be disabled on your account. Once disabled, the “Ask AI” button will no longer appear in the Dashboard.
